But you are a pastor, you are supposed to understand everything! Hopefully you will have the answers to all of these questions by the time you get your M.Div. Learning Greek should definitely help.

    Indeed.

I agree on most of that. Although, while I agree that on Nov. 5, 2008 everything will be the same no matter who wins, I'm not sure I agree that on Nov. 5, 2010 everything will be the same, and so I think there's something here worth getting worked up over. It's important. The last eight years have certainly proven that the leader of our country can affect day-to-day life for many, many people.

By the way, I think the elephant/donkey thing is like the red/blue thing. Originally something in pop culture that the parties eventually embraced. I could be wrong though.

I guess certin Pastors don't know how bad Mocking is as a pratice too... Hopefully the Greek study takes Pastor Paul to Proverbs 14:6 and 15:12.

As far as your list it is very insteresting; much to ponder.

I also don't understand many of these things.
My hope is in a faithful God, not in the newest president elect (or those of the past or the future).

I really don't get why you didn't hear much of the other side of Jeremiah Wright (black liberation theology) on the news... I've had breakfast with the guy. He isn't evil, who cares if he was/is Obama's pastor. I have a nice pastor, does that make everyone in the congregation nice? Nope, haha. But, I guess that's just me rooting for the underdog, always looking for the positive spin.
