Yaconelli is so good. He's the soul food of Christian literature. Read "Messy Spirituality" as soon as you can after "Dangerous Wonder"

Currently reading: "Water from a Deep Well: Christian Spirituality from Early Martyrs to Modern Missionaries" by Gerald Sittser (both informative and convicting) 3. Excited to read: a Mike Erre book - either "Death by Church" or "Jesus of Suburbia"

She is very emergent Christianity, but at the same time knows her history. She came into Christian writing from the critic/publisher side, and researched how Christianity is shaped by culture and how culture is shaped by Christianity, and how the world now is in the midst of a paradigm shift of emergent Christianity.

From what I've heard, it's really a good challenge on knowing the basics beyond what you see and physically get at church.
